We are however in the process of carefully selecting the sire that will be contributing to making the next generation of Ravenwood Farm Highlands! We are also preparing (with the advice from our vet) for the “go ahead” on breeding. We have decided that it is best for our heifers to be AI at least for their first time pregnancies.

Below are pictures of our KoKo who is a true “Miniature” Dun highland. She is expected to be inseminated this Spring!

The silver bull calf below is Ghost; our future sire to our heiffers. Both of his parents matured at 43” which puts them in the “mid-sized” category. We will have to wait for Ghost to reach full maturity before being able to categorize him, however we are thinking he will be mini-mid-sized.
